As you can see I'm not so good at this blogging thing and can't imagine I have anything to write about that anyone would be interested in to read. Since I'm up at 2 in the a.m. and have nothing to do I log on and read other blogs and enjoy them, but I don't have much to tell about me.
I am excited about the weather getting better and the flowers starting to come up. It gives me a new lease on life and I love to see the world warm up. I planted tomatoes and peppers in the house to see if I could start them growing early. I'm not sure what will happen, but we'll see. The tomatoes are about 3 inches high and the peppers are just out of the ground. I have crocus, daffodils, tulips and hyassins coming up outside. It makes me feel like getting outside to walk after a long cold winter.

A sad day for me again
I received news from a friend we have had since our days in the Military some 40 years ago. Their oldest daughter Sonia passed away yesterday. We met them when we were stationed in Minot North Dakota. I truly believe we were to meet them and become lifelong friends. All these years we have kept in touch and I was saddened to hear of their loss. Sonia was just a little girl about 2 yrs old when we met. Her mom was ready to give birth to their second of 6 girls at the time. Sonia was everyone's favorite, because she wanted to shake everyone's hand.
Liz and Bill had just joined the church when Lloyd and I got to Minot. They helped us through some hard times of our own and we just fell in love with them from the start. It's not every day one meets friends like the Tiptons and stays friends over the years. We will miss Sonia, but we know she is happy now and in a better place.
